"I’ve had this experience twice myself - once with LCD model and then again with the OLED..."
And here I was thinking I was unlucky...
Yes, and?
That's less than Amazon has in a month.
Same here. Both delivered on time and without issues.
But the vocal minority will always scream louder than the rest. Not saying they're wrong to do so but you don't get views or clicks for successful deliveries.
They probably have thousands of those boxes and don't wanna replace them because it would be a waste of money (throwing the old ones in the trash bin).
You don't need to live in a scummy place to have people that work for the carriers to be the scum nor do the people that literally travel from place to place stealing crap from porches.
A lot of scum of all types moved out of the low class areas and branched out into bigger cities to do their criminal things.
Amazon has the highest turnover rate for delivery driver theft out of them all.
Yeah, I don't think anyone is saying it happens to all of them... it just happens.
People like to inflate the numbers to way more than seems possible. But you don't get any attention when you have happy deliveries.
Well, where I live, no one would even contemplate stealing from a porch. I mean, we don't even need to lock our doors. That's how safe and how low the crime rate is. The last time the police came round here due to a crime, was about 3 years ago when they were looking for witnesses to a fight. Other than that we see them perhaps once a year when they're updating records.
I also said nothing about during delivery, that's unavoidable in most places. My dad used to know a postman in the UK, this guy was an absolute idiot. He used to steal post looking for cheques and cash. He got busted when the police raided his house and found he'd tried to stuff the post behind his radiator.
As for myself, I've lost exactly 2 parcels in over 20 years. Both lost in the US before even reaching my country. The first was a special parcel from 2K; they sent a different parcel later but I always wondered what was in the first. The second had signed Mafia 2 stuff, limited edition Zippo not available to the public and other sweet swag. The second was a game ordered from Amazon US, nothing special and very niche so whoever snagged that likely felt ripped off =).
