the news about me is NOW my acc is safe, lot ppl say is a scam and Fortunately i didnt add the discord user that dm dude send me, and didnt actually fell for it cus i dont know scam method like that, i blockthe user discord and reporting it and hopefully lesson for people, always make steam discussion, and tell if its true or not, and always thorough first ! The last answer makes me sad or maybe just me?

To be sure, go through steps 1-6 to secure your account:

1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.
3. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
4. Change passwords from a trusted/clean device.
5. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
6. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)

so someone dm me on discord that somebody pretending to be me, like the username and pfp are same like me and the guy who pretending to be me buys a item bowie knife doppler (CS2) and he the dude dm me didnt get his money so he reporting but he get tricked and reporting me not the guy who pretending to be me, so and the problem is that valve gonna banned IP and suspended my acc, and he send me a pic that 12 hour they gonna ban ip and suspended my acc. So anyone pls help?

Use your common sense. Some random person hit you up on discord. They're trying to scam you. This is a pretty basic and common scam that you Counterstrike playing discord users somehow seem to fall for, everyday.

It always amazes how people come here with this copy and paste scam daily and when they are told it's a scam and what to do to secure their account, they seem to ignore it for awhile and continue with the scammers scare mongering. It's amazing how these scammers can really get their hooks into some people.
