What does Early Access mean to you?

I've been looking at a ton of games that are currently Early Access and most have mixed reviews. So form there I start reading reviews and the most of them are "Not enough content" and "Buggy". It's clear that Early Access may be above most of their heads or they're just really dense. EA clearly doesn't mean the game is gonna be finished and polished, it's a real shame that people skim over some of these games just because they have mixed or negative reviews when in reality it's a bunch of idiots complaining the game isn't finished.

Side note: Some of the reviews were well thought out and had legitimate reasons for being negative.

Because I do play games that I think are good as well. It was answered. That you couldn't understand that in the answer just continues on these little games you think you're playing on the forums.

I watched a long play of Dragon Age and I thought it was terrible
Both Witcher 3 and Witcher 2 from what I saw on lets plays are absolutly what I expected and not for me
I hated every single lets play I have seen of Batman series
I literally thru STALKER in the trash because I didnt want anyone else to play it even if I made money from selling it
I played GTA 4 for about 3 hours before getting rid of it
I gave away Sims 3 because it was just like my Sims 2 collection but with less stuff

give that this is an early access thread I think it would be fun for us to look at the games with bad review, count how many reviews there are and compare that with the popular Early Access games.

we might find out that the bad games are actually a much lower % of the early access purchases.

this topic is about early access games, not AAA games.

I am suggesting we look at the steam user review count for early access games and I havent suggested what is bad or good 76% or not.

But believe me, the gaming market and the developer/studio/publisher situation is actually a very complex one. Actually Early Access is only a part of the whole gaming industry - and while a phenomenon, it's not isolated from the rest of the industry.

The "success" of Early Access is likely one of the reasons why AAA publishers thought it would be ok to start putting out $60+ threadbare releases with content to arrive at some indeterminate point in the future.

Though you may want to go ahead and purchase Don't Starve Together, since it's basically the single player game with the added benefit of being able to play with others if you wish. (The only significant difference between DS and DST aside from the multiplayer is that enemies all have higher health in DST, to compensate for the added players)

well its more than just that.

a list of 1 game really isnt being very fair.

but yes.. I am sorry I am that game doesnt interest me I am asking for a AAA version of something similar to this: but the best I can tell its just to hard to make?
