Good advice: read ToS and buy your games elsewhere.
Won't make Steam great again though.
2. A strict game policy from Valve that protects the users of Steam against scamming game developers that want to earn a quick buck on them !
3. Human rights online that allows you to speak your mind with out you getting a punishment for it !
I think thous 3 major topic´s would be a good starting point !
My term for it is BAH .. Bah because unless Gabe can see that it is the right thing to do, then it WONT happen ..
You will get ALOT less users on this platform if you start taking money for being here and play the games ... So that would kill the overall income of Valve .. so that would be a BAD move ..
Such a game policy already exists. And it works. But it just means that the thing has to be 'a game'. Whether you like it or not, or feel it's priced fairly is irrelevant. You have the choice to simply not buy it.
1. You really wouldn't like such ann anti cheat since it likely have to be built into the very hardware firmware in your PC. And oh boy if you though rootkit lockouts were bad....
Even if his account got hijacked and was used to cheat and then received a ban, he would somehow blame others or Valve for it. Even though it is your responsibility to secure your account and you are also responsible for any actions on the account.
The same applies if you get scammed. They already warn you about scamming, there are two whole articles covering it.
As for "scamming developers" such people are banned from the platform and so are their games. Yes, games do get banned and removed from Steam.
As for freedom of speech, it doesn't exist here. Valve is a private company and such companies do not have to adhere to any sort of freedom of speech laws.
Well those are his opinions. Why are folks constantly gatekeeping Valve? There's nothing wrong with folks voicing different ideas in how make Steam a better place. And the reason it may not be a better place, is whenever someone comes out with ideas, they're brigaded and cast out.
He can have as many "opinions" as he wants, and he's free to share them.
That doesn't mean others cant tell him he's wrong, and tell him why he's wrong.
It's a forum for discussions. That's how discussions work.
People are allow to voice their opinion but everyone has to understand that having a discussion about how communism sucks at a soviet era ministry isn't going to get you very many positive responses.
It is true. Prove me wrong?
Who do you think hangs around a Steam discussion thread? People who love Steam. There is no way to persuade anyone around here in any way.
I highlighted the important part that seems to be getting ignored.
Right, but your thread picked up a lot of "steam", and you ended up correct, and in fact, others followed on that same topic.
I mean i understand what they're saying, but there's a difference in having different opinions, and throwing tomatoes at another who may not have the same lol.
