I just want to screw around and play games, and do whatever I want within the game world.
What we see in gaming isn't much different of what you can see on a lot of hobbies that went mainstream. Gatekeppers angry at their hobby now appealing to a broader spectrum of people and not just THEM. THEM WHO DEVOTED THEIR LIVES AND IDENTITIES TO THE HOBBY. The dark and moody pub they used to hang in has changed ownership and now it's a sunny and colorful family and kids friendly coffee shop, and they're angry at it.
Let's not forget there's a HUGE internet business based around outrage. Ragebait is a HUGE tool for engagement and can rent some juicy ad revenue, so people attach it to whatever is the theme of the week. That's why a lot of people are always angry about everything that happens. And some people take that crap seriously. Some people genuinenly believe some grown ass man is having a real meltdown on the screen because of "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pronoums" on a game... And share it, view it, talk about it...
As the meme says: "We Paid a Freelancer to Say a Thing You Like Is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ because the Google/Facebook duopoly ate the whole digital ad market and now harvesting hate clicks is the only viable business model for online media"
Considering woke seems to just mean "whatever the right wingers don't like at the current time", a concrete definition does seem to be needed.

Turns out there aren't a whole lot of them. Like I'm sorry, but this industry is rooted in social outcasts playing DnD in the 70s. Turns out you're more likely to sympathise with other outcasts when you, yourself are one.
The other way around, actually. It is pretty easily demonstrable as well. The "Blue Lives Matter" crowd are with the MAGA/anti-woke crowd. For the uninitiated, Blue Lives Matter was created in response to "Black Lives Matter" as a faux-response that "Police Officers are actually the ones whose lives are in danger when it comes to police brutality". It is also generally at anti-woke events that people with neonazis (in the most literal waving the hakenkreuz (swastika) flag sense) show up.
I hope, that by "coexist", you mean on an equal footing, because on that front, then you're 70% on the way to being 'woke'. I used to be anti-woke (or rather, back then it would have been anti-SJW). All that remains for you to do, is to take a step back and listen to what is actually being said (and not just what The Quartering/Tim Pool/etc is curating for you) without letting a knee-jerk reaction take over.
And trans people have had to fight for 100 years, and that is just in the modern sense. My country legalized gender changes 94 years ago. These kind of civil rights issues tend to be concurrent and overlapping.

Oh, trust me, nobody hates rainbow capitalism more than LGBT people. That doesn't change the fact that there seems to be outrage at LGBT characters just existing. Bridget from Guilty Gear Strive is a prime example.
If a game makes it clear it's woke though it's trailers, or through reviews, you don't get to complain it's woke after you bought it. The moment you bought it was the moment you lost and no amount of complaining will help with that.
I'm starting to believe that people who are complaining about the state of gaming as a hobby are doing so only to complain. Even if games which match their preferences exist, they'll still focus on those which don't and will waste time complaining about the very existence of games which don't suit their taste instead of spending said time more meaningfully playing games which are what they want them to be.
One thing that is for certain, however, is that those who stand the straightest in the anti-woke crowd certainly don't have an issue with consuming girl on girl action with their daily dose of porn. So claiming some divine righteousness in their bigotry is the ultimate hypocrisy.
if you dont know anything about blizzard. if you dont remember og starcraft bw compared to current blizzard youll think that the complaints are meaningless.
we walk away because words dont work with you people and people can take games hostage for months get dozens of people perma bans after enough time and enough people get fed up with them and everyone sits there in the burning building thinking this is fine.
all blizzard games and multiplayer games are hemorrhaging users because of it and chat bans in particular. blizzard the problem is so out of control you can get a team of bronze players who want to win and act like it and get a 90%+ winrate and see platinum in about a week. also since you clearly got used to working with each other it becomes possible to get diamond agian with people stuck in bronze. i made an alt and i had several copies of overwatch. this isnt me thinking i did it personally with heroes of the storm and overwatch 1. i was personally stuck at silver/gold and when i did get the team i was in bronze because i gave up on actually trying it went for fun only until i dropped into elo heaven where literally anything goes. i was one teir away from diamond when i quit.
and all of it was because of self important pricks who gushed about the lgbt feminism woke political activism and chat censor bs and a company who wanted to be social engineers not game devs.
i also need to remind you they tried that ♥♥♥♥ with twitter and elon and elon did a disney hades and said "one tensy wensy problem. i own you" if you honestly think they are unrelated the wef and fair play allience <- chinese chat censors founded after ccp bought riot games and other activist investors are all joined at the hip. blizzard wanted the chinese market because line most get up bs we see with alot of companies regardless of products. the fair play allinece btw self censored a while back to hide members because it was clearly a problem and people noticed.
wg sony xbox blizzard riot games discord ea basically every name you saw in the news for being for being activst trash before game devs and engaging in chat censorship with chat bans and a chat ban bot are a member of the fair play alliance.
also there is a reason after all the wef investor groups started closing down they are walking their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ back. these comapnies know its pissing users and consumers off. the reason is because they need customers now they cant keep getting money from trashy activist investors.
and agian these arent the only groups. they have the same lock step message with the same wording centered around political activism and a love of censoring anyone who points it out.
How did that new Saints Row game do? How about that Captain Marvel movie?
I stopped playing Blizzard's games when I realized I am not their target audience and moved on to Relic's RTS games (Company of Heroes and Dawn of War). Obviously, WoW has become their point of focus and RTS players fell out of it. In 2004 Blizzard lost all relevance to me. I had a choice to play other games... and that's what I did.
I don't know anything about Twitter, I never used it. It never was relevant to me, it hasn't changed. It's a waste of time. Sony was also never something I was interested in, since I never owned a console... because PC offers more choices and games more aligned with my taste and preferences.
All those things you wrote about never affected me... because I am not Blizzard's, Disney's and Sony's targeted audience. Edit: And because I am not their target audience, any potential complains would end up ignored. Because people other than me are more relevant.
