GTA6 isn't out until 2025 at the earliest. But like any AAA game, it's likely to be pushed back for reasons. And then that's the console release. PC release won't happen for at least a year or two after the console release, and then is likely to be an Epic exclusive... I really wouldn't expect it on Steam until at least 2028/2029. In other words, if you're looking to play a GTA game, then GTA 5 is still worth getting on PC at this time.
