I mean, we both know that isn't the same.
What fraud?
If you're talking about The Day Before, it's not fair to call it a fraud.
It exists.
Ergo, it's not fake.
No, it's 100% fair to call it fraud.
There's a reading they've literally removed their advertised gameplay footage they released earlier this year. Even mods in the Discord(who are allegedly also developers) flat out told people before release it was not an extraction shooter.
The fraud part comes into play based in what they advertised the games as for the past year versus what they released.
Oh. Okay.
Wild.
Secondly...scope can change duiring development.
Thirdly, What did you expect an uinfinished indevel;open world shooter to look like?
the day it released without telling anyone its a small pre built asset map anyone can buy,
players wouldnt even know until they are properly into the game that it has been switched.
They haven't addressed it since release. They've shut down their discord to new users and shut down their bug report channel.
Changing the genre completely is much more than just changing the scope. They went from advertising an open world MMO survival shooter with PvP to releasing an extraction shooter. That isn't changing scope, that's making a different game.
Being "in development" is not a pass for the the change betw een what was advertised to what is released.
One day prior to release, they removed all their gameplay footage showing an open world mmo from their YT page.
A day later game releases, it has nothing to do with an mmo. Its a Simple and bad extraction shooter. Small maps, 0 survival, 0 pve.
Shop page is still advertising as an open world mmo.
All of their footage and gameplay suggested an entirely different game. Thats fraud imo
And there my question comes back. WHat did you expect an UNFINISHED and advertised as UNFINISHED open world shooter to look like?
I mean miost such games generally start out with small maps of pre-built assets with basic minimal featuresets.
How are you so sure its changed?
I mean as I asked. WHat do you expect such a a game to look like in the EARLY stages of development?
It's generally either going to be a big enmopty map with with nothing of interest in it. or a small map with very luittle of interest,.
Why do you and otheres seem to expect it to look an play like a game thats just shy of fuinal release?
