I still don't quite understand what it actually is.
Even after learning what it is.
Is it a new boogyman term now?
Like Woke?
Also, the list of game companies boycotted make no sense.
Even from a perspective of "Woke."
Like no one has heard of Sweet Baby INC before this thread, so you basically made it popular.
LOL.
Hah! Made me laugh.
The funny thing here is that crochet and needlepoint work in general were probably some of the first actual woke hobbies, predating the original coining of the term 'wokeness' to refer to societal awareness of racial inequality in post WW2 USA by a century.
Back in the Europe of the 1800s when women still lacked voting rights; long before the suffrage movement, and long before other forms of emancipation that would see them slowly come to equal standing with men in areas such as job opportunities and level of wage, needlepoint work was basically the only way women were able to and were allowed to by society to earn some money on the side. Small kernels of women from well-off families would pool and do needlework over tea, and sell that on to fund small community charities wrt e.g. food for the poor; prevention of child labor; etc. Some would in fact directly crochet or embroider politically tinted material which was hung from walls; windows; flag poles; or taken out to be used as banners in protest marches.

Good times.
I like this idea.....you have my....fangs? (I'm a goomba - we don't use axes)
I remember when I played a game and it was just a game - until some idiot started making it about racism/politics/woke crap - now I just ignore the idiots.
Its just a game - don't like it - don't buy it - grand standing is foolsih.
ive said repeatedly my experince with blizzard here and how it went and why i quit bnet outright.
there was a direct link with senior management retiring quitting and the increase of woke bs where ultimately i was robbed of thankfully only 100 dollars and told to go pound sand as blizzard disabled appeals for false bans when they forced the chat ban bot bs down our throats and ultimately banned their top streamer for hots falsely and ultimately had to mannually unban them. to this day they havent even tried to adjust the system to block false flagging and most of the normal people who saw the same thing are just done. there is nothing the company can release that i will purchase. i grew up with blizzard games and its too late for blizzard to try and do better. you dont wait 3-4 months to appeal a false ban get told to pound sand and forgive.
companies that do this crap are a dime or dozen now and they all make unfinshed buggy crap filled with asset flips. they also tend to love to ban people who say something about it because they dont want people being rightly pissed with them over it.
Everything is and has always been political. You just choose to ignore it or didn't know any better.
Ignorance is bliss.
