Minimum Internet speed.

I have slow internet.(5meg down and 1 meg up). How do I know if a particular game will work? I am currently looking at Crysis Remastered. It says it needs high speed internet. What speed is that? Do I need that if I don't want to play multiplayer?

Note unless the game is mutiplayer your internet speed will only impact how fast you can download the game. Once downloaded a game like Crysis Remastered doesn't rely on your internet speed at all

Now Crysis being Crysis itsmore likely the game will just outright run at 10fps because that's just how their games are like. But a 1gbps connection isn't going to fix that

Bandwidth isn't the problem when it comes to online play.
Its Timing.

Ideally you need less than 100ms for a good experience.

However to answer your question - your internet connection is more than enough.
But like I said - timing is key - not bandwidth.

If your strictly single player - then you got nothing to worry about.

Also be advised some ISP's throttle - so your download may be a bit slower than expected - if it is - let it run over night.

You should be just fine either way.

I used to have less bandwidth than that, like 5 years ago, and it was never a problem beyond keeping up with updates.

If a game really relies on bandwidth I would expect them to put it in the hardware requirements.

People always confuse Bandwidth with "Speed" in terms of multiplayer.

Its an age old problem.

Not unlike volts vs amps.
