While they do work on games, it is at the dev teams own pace, which is why it takes so long for new content.
The industry needs more Half-Life: Alyx, aka games that have more Twitch viewers than actual players.
Also I wouldn't call VR 'experimental at this point. Its quite solidly established now.
CSGO 2 VR should be valves next project or side project to boost VR popularity. its unfortunate that VR is so under whelming an has such a small user group, i have my VR helm and its not even worth the time putting it on, its like a over priced statue next to my pc looks kinda futuristic headbust but yeah.... not a very desirable thing to use when you have one. Due to the poor development and lack of development into vr games.
And that you would wabnt a VR mod for CSGO... shows you don't have much understanding of game design. I mean there's technically nothing stopping you fropm playing ANY fps game with a VR headset and controls. Just need to do some control tweaking.
The thing is to make the best uuse of vr you need to design around VR from the griound up. That's basically what all the good VR games have in common, and something we're steadily seeing more and more of which is gradually pushing the sales of more and more VR units.
Really the only thing left is to bring the costs down a bit.
I mean YMMV but unlike its previous iterations this VR trends seems to have actually stuck the landing.
I picked it up in the "cheap" Humble Bundle and hopefully I'll enjoy it single player.
Though there ghave been more than a couple that have managed.
it felt to must like what we have already seen, i did have fun playing it with friends but none of us got into the PVP aspect of B4B like L4D had
i also have basicly given up trying to manually convert FPS games into VR subsets, it got me supersick once trying to play a few FPS games in VR when the camera turns without head tracking you will wanna curl up into a ball and cry.
vr has solid concepts one of the biggest concepts that VR in 2019 lacked was Wifi Concept, trying to play games with cables dangling off your body is just crazy stupid. specially since you can't see anything and could get tangled up in them.
