Well, been using it since 1998? I figured, nearly 30 years of use, the price is worth it really. Why not support a company that I use daily still?

Besides, I enjoy how it decompresses faster than 7zip. No idea why, but when it comes to compression they are about equal, but WinRAR always is faster for extraction.

If ya a casual user of compressed file formats, plenty of free options. Though even with the current price being $30 for WinRAR, not sure how that's expensive.(I didn't pay that though decades ago)

$30 is still a pretty hefty price tag. Especially since I have others to spend that isn't WinRAR.
