The way steam market holds your funds doesn't make sense
Its absolute BS with how it works in this case:

Sold my CS2 skins and yesterday I had about 50 dollars 'pending' 1-2 days. Normally, the next day it will start counting down - within 12 hours, within 6. and so on- BUT another item today that I put on the market yesterday, totaling the amount to 60+ and it still says "1-2 days".

What it looks like, is it will start a timer from when those initial funds were granted to the account, however, if you sell another item the next day, THE TIMER WILL RESET and those funds you rightfully were supposed have by now (from the items you sold the previous day) are lumped with what was just sold today.

Really, really stupid. Nice trash system steam. "FoR SeECuRiTy Re3AsOns"- whatever it is, is trash. You ever think about warning me that you're about to cuck my funds during a Steam sale? Nah.

So what your saying is you didn't read the fine print before using the system.
Well now that you know how it works - adjust accordingly - or don't use it.

Keep in mind people are frequently phished/exposed to trouble there - you should be thankful that you have security in the first place.

So call it trash all you want - still got your account.
Count your blessings.

Where is the fine print? You read every agreement, EULA, etc. before playing a game then? Or you're just full of ♥♥♥♥ like 99.9999% of people who say this?

*Adjusts glasses* "Hmph, well maybe someone should do their own research next time they choose to utilize the system" Oh please, go take a hike.

I'm not the one asking why - which means I obviously know something you don't.
Maybe actually go read it? Crazy Idea I know.

Would you rather a scammer who got ahold of your account sell your items for next to nothing with no way to stop them?
Blame the scammers/cheaters/bad actors who abused the system, for all security measures that are now in place.
Bad people are the reason regular people can't have nice things.

The purpose is to point out hypocrisy. Which I did.

So explain to me how it makes sens to restart the timer on funds you have already been waiting for a day or two prior? These security features are for that specific item's sale, yet a timer is reset because I sold another item on the market today? It doesn't separate the funds I am owed from the sale yesterday, though?

I want someone to explain the sense to it, rather than just excusing lazy, unnecessary design.

Things would be so much better if all this stupid "selling" crap didn't exist. Less hacking of accounts, less annoying security features due to hacking of accounts, no endless complaints about 'pending'. . . the fact that people think some silly skins in a shooter are worth actual $ is just nuts.

This is actual idiocy, the fact they hold the money for days on end is insufferable.

It's a lazy failsafe and it just means that their process of vetting purchases isn't good enough, so they do this bandaid fix that causes most of us to suffer.
