The autumn sale feels so disappointing.
Most of the games on my wishlist decided to not participate and those that did just did a pathetic 10% or 25% off instead of steam's golden era where steam sales meant something and were like 75% or 80% off.

Publishers and developers set the prices and even in Steam's 'golden era', games were discounted at 10-25%. Not every game gets 75-80% off these days. There are stacks of heavily discounted games so whatever is in your wishlist, it's probably newer titles or ones with publishers far strict about discounting.

Lame, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ sale.

"steam sales" are only as good as the publishers let them

the best deals are on third party sites

Worst part is, all I am seeing are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ modern day 8 bit games, roguelikes and minecraft clones.

Ahh... the obligatory "this 'enter sale event name here' sucks" post. Catch you in a month for the Winter Sale.

I'm being honest it feels like an extremely awful sale.
its a big audience they dont have to try as hard anymore...

you just have to wait 20 years now for really low prices...

and if i am prepared to wait 20 years.... they might as well just give it to us real cheap now...

A large part of my wishlist is on sale. Some have all time low prices, some have worse discounts than previous sales. Nothing out of the ordinary. Sale is fine for me, though I mostly got DLC for games I play since that's where my interest was now.

Which isn't that odd, it's been established before in your threads that you have very limited taste. Might be hard to indeed find something then.

My wishlisted titles tend to range from 35% to 80%. I still don't feel like buying any of them.
Either because it would make my backlog stack or because I'm too broke.

Hate to break it to you folks - but this sale is no different than all previous sales.

If anything you're feeling the pressure from inflation and other nasty things.
Life's more expensive than ever these days.

I see at least a dozen games right now on the store front page that are 60-80% off.

Every released item on my wishlist except for the most recent releases are on sale from 15%-35% off.

So this seems distinctly like a you problem.

ugh rip today is the last day of the sale and I can't find any games to buy.

There's an easy solution: don't buy anything then.

The Winter sale is right around the corner anyway and just like the Summer sale, it's a major sale.
