Banned for making fun of bad developers
DBD (Dead by Daylight) once banned me for a week but stated they welcome me to contact their moderator. Since my account was temperarily banned, I use another account to ask where can I find the moderator, then my second account got a permanent ban by them.

This is funny.

Then a week later, DBD asks its players to vote for Labor of Love, I commented probably I would vote "worst developer" for them, then I got banned again for a month. The reason they gave is that the comment is not friendly and not constructive. LOL.

I just want to ask, how this kind of joke or comment is too heavy for them?
literally most of the comments (under the Labor of Love request) are unfriendly and critical toward them.

Why them think harsh critiques are unbearable?

If anyone wonder why I got the first ban initially:

The reason is that one day, after I got 3 toxic matches in a row where survivors insulted me (call me clown or attack me racially) when I play fairly, I felt very frustrated.
I posted asking people suggested me a build so I could use to make survivors "suffer" (which is a worst word I used in the post). I asked for "the least fun build" for the survivors. But I did not tell I would only use it after experiencing toxic players. Many users suggested their builds and some asked why I want such a build? I told them I experienced toxic matched, I told them I would actually play fairly and won't not use toxic builds.
The original post cause my ban under the reason "encouraging negative behaviour", although I did not suggest anyone to use any sort of builds.

Sounds reasonable.

Making a new account to post after your main account got banned is called "Ban Evasion", and yes, it makes sense that they Ban the second account for that.

It is neither friendly nor is it constructive, so this makes sense.

It's up to them to decide what's too much and what isnt. Past misconducts may also play a role in your future punishments, meaning if you misbehaved before (which you did) they may be less lenient in the future.

Devs are free to moderate their forums as they see fit. Which is the way it should be. At the end of the day, if someone wants to act all Edgelordy on a forum space, they shouldn't be surprised when, one day, they get smacked back for it.

Do you use the "friendly and constructive" rule to check the steam comments?
If you stick to this rule then probably most comments should be removed and most commentors should be banned.

This is one of those where if you have to ask - you obviously have a problem.

So like you try speed run to get yourself ban with bad score, or are you upset because you hate to realize with every action comes with consequences.

Each game own sub forum is run by the game dev/mods, and can manage their own sub forum how they see fit. You're free to your opinions, but doesn't mean you're free to stay if they don't want you there anymore.

Yes, the dev said "you are welcome to discuss with us." He invited me to talk without stating where to reach him. And since he banned. So in order to find out where I could discuss I think my reaction is proper.

What I did was only, aking where to find him. That is all.
And you say permenant ban is deserved?

It is a question asked because he did not inform properly, and the ban is permanent, how is that proportionate?

you asked them where to find him.
As in finding him in the real world?
That's generally considered a threat in various contexts and not a joke - so either you are having trouble communicating or you just had a Freudian slip.

May be best if you just accept things as it is and move on.

"hate to realize with every action comes with consequences"?

What I hate about. I am talking about whether the way the deal with players are proper, not about whether behaviour has a consequence.

You are not me and how do you know what exactly I hate.
They set rules but using those rules in a way I think is unfair and that is what I want to discuss. It is not about "hate consequence".

Hi, I moved on, just thinking this is funny and want to share this experience that I never had before. It is not about move on. If I say, if my post does not bother you, please move on, what do you reply? It is not move on or not because I already know what kind of forum it is by now.

Also what I asked is how do I contact the moderator of the forum. I mean everyone would know what I mean, maybe except you.
Max Nov 24, 2023 @ 1:13am
Steam should make a 2nd fourms without devs moderation to all steam users.
