Steam could fix this issue by removing a single value in the miniprofile's code. There's no need for that "miniprofile_backdropblur". It's stupid and it hides what we're trying to customize our miniprofile with. Not only that, it keeps a fair shade for readability anyway.
Edit: I tested even with mine or the ones of a few users here. Simply removing that line of code and keeping "miniprofile_backdrop" for the nice shade and it all gave this beautiful and very readable miniprofile worth customizing. The blur IS effectively ruining everything.
it fking ruisn every miniprofile and everyone just posts new mini profiles into the point shop despite all of themg etting ruined by the blurry, wtf is even the point
