Because the game dev/pub set it their discounts that way.
It's also a package deal and not a tailored bundle.
It's just how it is - I see glitches like these all the time.
Lost count how many times buying the items separately is cheaper than the combo pack by a small amount. (States here)
Only thing I can figure is its an oversight or some weird rounding error on discounts.
But if its in my favor - why not.
i thinked it was just in brasil like a mistake or error by valve or someting did not know it was common.
No I've seen this quite a few times over the years - don't think its currency based.
However - I'm willing to accept its a unique bug - but its not that unique.
Like I've said - I've bought combo packs individually without the combo cause its cheaper :)
It is not a mistake, bug or error.
It is actually more common for game devs/pubs to price their packaged bundles like this.
It is also not a tailored bundle so, you don't get a discount for owning a title in the packaged bundle.
Gotta admit - they are taking a hit by not pricing them rationally - it kind of makes them look bad lol.
Its not they.
It's you - you choose to buy it.
That's why they put warnings on it.
Do people not ever read the warnings?
Is this some kind of groundhog day thing or something?
To call it a scam means its fraudulent - there's nothing fraudulent about it.
What you see is what you get - no more no less.
It's on you to choose whether or not you want said items - and if you already own it - well then you don't.
Now the subject of this thread is why combo packs are priced *slightly* higher than the items seperately.
That's not a scam either.
It's just silly.
Now if it was priced a 100USD + or something obscene - then I'd call that even then - not a scam but a gross error.
Pretty sure Steam would correct that if such a thing occurs.
It actually isn't. But the packaged bundle isn't for people who own a game in said bundle anyways.
What part of "Read the warning" did you not understand?
If you are willingly ignoring the warning and willingly re-buying something you already own...
For fudge sake - every item you own in Steam is flagged with "In Library"
Are you one of those people who walks by a hanging rope with a sign saying "Do not pull" - and you pull on the rope?
That's a you problem - stop blaming other people for your decisions.
You people amaze me to no end with your reasoning and logic.
So............ Yeah.
