Autumn sale stickers glitched!?

Are the stickers glitched? I received the "Beach Ball" from the Summer Sale 23 Event! Now I have it twice in my inventory! Anyone else!?

Well that's annoying. I really thought they might do something about it once the event was finished. What was I thinking.

It seems it would be easier to fix it than all the hours their support people are spending telling people they can't do anything. But what do I know.

Most likely they can't. Why? Because if they had this ability, even If people did request their items to be deleted, they would scream bloody murder down the line wanting them to be restored.

I highly doubt they deleted something from your inventory a year ago. Considering the fact that they cannot restore items either. This policy goes back to at least 2015.

They can delete some items. I had an emoticon that I bought with points, and then I realised that its name is quite racist in my part of the world. I didn't want it, but I was unable to delete, sell or turn it into gems because I'd bought it on the points store. Steam support deleted it for me.

Perhaps stickers have different rules and they can't delete those, but they definitely can delete some things from inventory.

In this case, the stickers are the same as emoticons. You can buy them for points and can't sell or trade them afterward. Absolutely no difference. So if support can definitely remove emoticons, it should also be possible to remove stickers.

The only case where this wouldn't be possible could be if the sticker is actually present in the inventory only once, but due to a visual glitch we see two of them. So they can only remove both by deleting the one file, or neither.

But since they don't explain the reason, we can only guess.

Same thing happened to me. I read on reddit, end of November, that more people have trouble with this issue.

getting the duplicate beach ball again made me miss out on the only actual autumn sticker that I REALLY wanted which was the duck :(

godda*mit they should at least give us the 1k points idk to be honest I don't buy enough games to afford to be fixing these mistakes with my few points lol
