Reach out to them to adjust the pricing.
Well, that, and seeking dialog. If you can contact a studio, let's say over the forum, do that. Reach out, ask whether a price adjustment is planned. Before you accept the status quo, see if it really is time to accept (yet).
Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® III >> 140u$s (70+70)
NBA 2K24 >> 120u$s (60+60)
EA SPORTS FC™ 24 >> 140u$s (70+70)
Argentina got +100% taxes on buy anything online in u$s
...140u$s a game...
Your taxes are not the seller's problem. Stop adding them in like its the base price of the game. Its dishonest AF.
Everyone took advantage of VPNs to pay less and we suffer the consequences... that's what's really dishonest
The incoming new liberal president hates taxes and believes in free markets...
Our only hope is that they will remove the taxes we have of +100% on buy anything in dollar price. If the new government manages to remove that tax, maybe we can buy again...
That would at least halve our prices.
Again, I know that the situation in our country is special, but I believe that any poeple have the right to be able to pay a fair price for entertainment. We just don't want to be forced into piracy or pushed off from a platform as good as steam... For now we can only wait and see what happens.
A bit of a harsh statement to make. Without these companies, they would be no games for you to play. Because your government of turkiye is having issues at the moment doesn't make it the publishers fault.
If your really struggling for games, grab all the free games other platforms dish out like epic games strore and others. Valve gave away half-life the other day for free.
Every other TRY/ARG user wants to harp on region hopping like it's 99% of the problem. And they want to ignore volatile and nearly worthless currencies that have been losing value consistently for years and is a burden on everyone accepting it. You can quibble about how the issue breaks down all you want. But if you take region hoping completely away, you still have a big problem with issues stemming from worthless currencies. And you're kidding yourself if you think publishes/developers would be willing to ignore it.
And the reality is a lot was done to curb region hopping, so ignoring that and the issues with the currencies to keep making a bogus argument is either dishonest or extremely misinformed. And it kinda seems like you're so eager to frame a specific picture you don't have a problem with either if it serves your needs.
How badly has this aged.
