No of course not. All "Cloud gaming" services are always going to have worse latency and input delay compared to actually running it on a real computer just by the very nature of technology. None of them will ever be as good as actually playing a game directly.

Part 1, here's already latency since steaming, so that automatically makes it worse than an average PC.

Part 2, good luck decoding 240 FPS video stream, unless have a really high speed internet connection.

Part 3, still need that high refresh rate monitor in your own place.

So... no where near a gaming PC's performance.

No matter how fast your connection is. Cloud gaming will always have latency.
People that play on actual hardware will always have the advantage, especially with 360hz monitors or higher.

Cloud gaming works best on slower paced games that doesn't require fast input.

If you have a potato pc and great internet like i do, it's a great deal. If you have average internet i'd say no, or of you live outside of the US.

I use and get a near 60 frames at 1080p, and i'm at the lowest paid tier. Forza, Racing, Truck Sim all work flawlessly with no issues. Arma 3, Hell Let Loose and others, same deal.

And i play thru an old Xbox One.

Biggest issues i hear, are from those overseas. Otherwise, only complaint i hear, is everyone wants their particular game on GFN.

Best bet, try the free service if you can get it, but the qeus are pretty long.

It also comes down to how close are you to the servers your streaming from. If you live near them, it may feel essentially like playing on a local machine lag wise. I've never had this as the nearest servers to me for streaming is 900km away (as they only Set up servers in the middle of either side of Australia in Sydney and Perth) which is technically playable, but even in slower paced single player games is annoying and something I'd avoid unless I had no other way to play the game due to hardware I have dying or similar. To put it into perspective, playing cyberpunk on a steam deck feels better then playing it on geforce now, sure it looks better on geforce now but the responsiveness is brutal.

What the video is showing of is that it is better then it was before with the new option they have. But the issue with video game streaming is unlike streaming a movie, as suggested above, they need to have servers everywhere as if they are not close to the end user, the end user is going to have a bad time. Whereas with movies that delay makes no difference so requires much less infostructure to work well for more people.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
