Internet Explorer Support ending?
I've been using IE since 95, I don't understand why support is suddenly stopping?
It's the best browsing experience on the market.

I refuse to Edge, it's collecting my personal data and I don't like the layout. Chrome and Firefox are too difficult to learn.

I depend IE9 compatibility on everything.

:deeperperiscope: Informing other Steam users will surely solve this issue!

There are people on this planet using Internet Explorer? In 2023?
Wow.

More like a gold encrusted rainbow unicorn crapping diamonds on the rarity scale.

Variation of that same kind of joke has been made for months so this is neither funny or original anymore. Try harder.

It's only a good troll if Windows 7 users take it seriously.

Actually at one point in time I used to use it as my main browser. Now I'm on Edge. Nowhere near as difficult as some others are trying to pass it off as. I do agree about the data collection being nasty but if you aren't the one making the browser you are forced to use one and let's face it most of them are collecting some sort of data.

It's kind of like the Windows 7 thing except instead of the OS now they'll complain about the browser. /wink

My suggestion to all these people not happy with the choices they have is always to make what they need themselves. Hope to God you are either rich or know someone who is and is willing to take a risk on you.

Moderators used to ban these troll threads. Then they outsourced to untrained, biased moderators that don't know how to do their job.
Surely web developers celevrated once Microsoft finally killed off IE, a browser that ignored standards compliance at every opportunity.

I couldn't agree with this more. I truly miss the wonderful volunteer mods we used to have. They did such a great job.

Instead the trolls get rewarded.

Only a matter of time until the review system gets FTC attention.

One thing about web browsers is that I'm not sure if there are websites that are exclusive to a certain browser. Meanwhile, Linux is having to play catch up with MS's DX, among other things.

As for the transition (regarding the OS), Most did it, some did not. They have their reasons to hold on to a sinking ship, but if you as much as mention the mere existence of one, someone will come and call you wrong. That is how Steam Forum be.

i agree that ie and win7 were good but no one cared of supporting it and so it became infested with hacks, tf2 and css as example got like 3 aimbotter per server that are not traceable, if ms really cared about it souldve released security updates long ago to support old content but they didnt and now we are here with win10/11 half working and old os borked due to hacks and security holes.
