I didn't adapt Steam, i was forced to.
For a long while I didn't use a PC at all. I used XP for the longest time, then Vista, and finally Windows 7. It came a long way from those Tandy machines we used in our high school back in the early 80's.
Wolfenstein released a few months after Thief, so I imagine Wolfenstein the new Order was the last disc pc game I bought (new).
I've had Steam way before then already though and was actively using it, but I always tried to buy disc versions if they were available (and still do on console).
I’ve misplaced it years ago tho sadly
Such a shame EA refuses to put it on Steam
And for a box with a DVD... well... i think it was Team Fortress 2 back in 2008
I also bought the physical Elder Scrolls collection in a box, but Oblivion and Skyrim would only work with Steam. The older games were install discs though.
