What was the last PC game you bought as a physical disk before adapting Steam?
For a long time, the old way of playing PC Games was to buy a physical box that had the physical disk in it to insert into a drive, install, and play. When Steam came along, everything went digital and physical disks are fading away.

For me it was Wolfenstein (2009).

For me it's a few Silent Hill games (2003-2004).

Physical edition or a physical disc? I have a few games that didn't come with a disc, instead making me register them either here or on GoG

I didn't adapt Steam, i was forced to.

It was either Neverwinter Nights or one of the Dark Age of Camelot or Everquest expansions before they went digital only. Can't exactly remember which.

For a long while I didn't use a PC at all. I used XP for the longest time, then Vista, and finally Windows 7. It came a long way from those Tandy machines we used in our high school back in the early 80's.

I bought Football Manager 2018 from a charity shop for a quid back in 2019. I didn't expect it to activate on my Steam account but to my surprise it did. :happyleon:

I had to google release dates, but it comes down to either 2014's Wolfenstein reboot or the Thief reboot.

Wolfenstein released a few months after Thief, so I imagine Wolfenstein the new Order was the last disc pc game I bought (new).

I've had Steam way before then already though and was actively using it, but I always tried to buy disc versions if they were available (and still do on console).

Diablo 2 + expansions (lost in a house fire with many of my games when I was a kid)

And for a box with a DVD... well... i think it was Team Fortress 2 back in 2008
World Of Warcraft...so many discs >< and Dragon Age Origins

Diablo 2, technically.

I also bought the physical Elder Scrolls collection in a box, but Oblivion and Skyrim would only work with Steam. The older games were install discs though.
The orange box :praisesun:
