Actually you can change the desktop icons and desktop image through the normal right-click interface. But we can edit the system registry entries that point to the desktop image and manually tell it to use a desktop image, even if windows 10/11 isn't activated. It's more of a chore and not easy but it is possible.
For the 20'th time: USING WINDOWS 10/11 WITHOUT ACTIVATING IT IS NOT ILLEGAL.
I really wish you could get that through your head and stop trying to mislead people.
Additionally we can remove the watermark. I already told you that's possible.
Anyone that is a home user at home can download the ISO, install it clean with a clean install, skip the cd key, and then use windows 10 or windows 11 for multiple years with no negative side effects. No worries of it being illegal (it's not illegal) and happily enjoy life forever without paying for windows.
Personally I'm not interested, because I'll stay on Win7.
I'm asking it because others might be interested in it. If you are not sharing it with the others then you are not helping just trolling. I don't think people want to use Win10 with a watermark.
I did share it with others. I wrote in this thread how to go find how to do it. It appears you didn't read (or don't know how to read).
Here. I will even do the google search for you since you seem unable to do it yourself: https://www.google.com/search?q=remove+watermark+in+windows+10+permanently

The second solution sucks as it terminates explorer.exe and it has side-effects. I didn't even try it because it is just an bad and annoying workaround (if it works at all).
The third solution doesn't even apply for our case.
