Literal Porn Games Popping Up On Steam

I am utterly disgusted.

While browsing Steam's Discovery Queue, hoping to enjoy a gaming experience and farm some cards, I was shocked to come across blatant pornography. This is unacceptable and appalling. How can such content be allowed on a platform frequented by people of all ages, including children?

Steam prides itself as a gaming haven, yet here we are, exposed to explicit and inappropriate content without warning. This is a serious breach of trust and decency. How many more users need to be subjected to this haram filth before Steam implements a robust filtering system?

This isn't just about personal preference; it's about protecting our community's integrity and the innocence of all gamers.

Just look at them on the Store page. They're all freaking visual novels! All of them! Barely any give the player ways to interact. It's all fake and all pre determined. There is nothing you can do but watch. Plus, most aren't even 3D. They're 2D novels that barely make any sense and will take any excuse for a sex scene. It's just horrendous

I got one and am at thirds chapter and no sex at all yet. Have been waiting for it big time! But nothing, just descriptions of the power relationships between the two protagonists and intro to the world setting.

Not complaining, just mentioning, has been interesting read and it is even more interesting to see how it slips into porn, now that they have personalities.

Bad news, that Fate/Stay Night uncensored crashes after prologue. Can't open some mp4 stream. A Linux issue. Was a good visual novel and just when the interesting stuff was about to happen it ended like pre, hmm, something

But glad there is porn in Steam now! Use the opportunity and release Fate/Stay Night remastered and uncensored in Steam, you will get my money.

I disagree, speaking in United States, any game that has adult references automatically has to be sold as adult only games. In respect to GTA series, it categorized as 18+/ adult only.

You are very confused about the United States.
It is sold as MATURE.
Which is not ADULT ONLY.
You can't confuse Mature with 18 plus/Adult

No physical store carries ADULT only games.
That has always been the case!

Fate/Stay Night is already coming to Steam this year, the developers released that information the day prior to your post on X so you can expect to see it here sometime soon.

The Linux issue is not to shocking, Computer Lexicon issues have been the bane for many games for a long time hence why it takes time to fully move a game from one lexicon to another without having any issues.

For example: Many games made in Japan require the Japanese lexicon but will crash on PC's in the US or simply not work because they do not have the language lexicon which is normal. You can install the lexicon on your PC via the Optional Language system of your settings or just change your PC lexicon itself via the administrator system to Japanese as well.

Fair warning tho is that I do not suggest the administrator change as it may mess with other files across your PC if you do, downloading the Japanese language codex is far easier and simpler.

For me, what defines an adult game from non-adult games is the amount of adult content in it. For example I just started playing Snowbreak last night, its tags included Hentai and NSFW and I've not once seen any nudity, sex scenes or even horny actions yet, ya its later stuff for romantic ties but it feels odd that the hentai tag is there to me, its also classified as an adult game despite lacking nudity in just the cutscenes during medical checks and stuff.

Then there's other games that can't go two steps with adult content, those are 100% adult games to me, but to know which is which is always hard for me without actually playing the games outright, and a few I've played lately while branded as adult games and hidden, have had so little adult content that I've felt its almost like a prank. Sure there is some adult content stuff in said games, but its either at the end of the game or behind so many walls that it makes The Maze (as in the movie) look simple.

Thats just my two cents tho, this concept can be applied I guess to any tag and game as well.

Fun fact: At least 30% of them are not by the original developers, their actually pirated or cloned games off of pirate bay or other websites sold on Steam. If you look at Steam's removed games for VN's, you'll find a majority of them were not removed because of the game itself, but because the game in of itself was stolen from its original developers and others just use stolen parts that are then thrown into Ren'py or RPGMaker to make their own.

I swear I've seen the same Goblin sprite across almost all of the RPGmaker games...

Ah, great news! Thank you very much of this info! Was puzzled should I begin to solve the problem or wait someone to solve it, or just wish for a proper version released. The best thing happened! Can't wait to dive deep in this franchise, fighting games and RPGs are just my thing, and this visual novel with porn scenes gives a ton more depth to the characters.

If you happen to know any other franchises which explore various genres and include at least on some porn, please let me know, they must get my money.

Nah, you are wrong. Steam already have movies, but Steam should add comics and books, hentai stuff and whatever they have in Japan, related to games at least.

The problem is that is very complex and difficult to get stuff here. I want my everything to be in Google and Steam, and not in some strange site.

Pretty sure RPG maker games and the like have standard assets that anyone can use. I would not be surprise if that goblin that you saw was one such asset.
