Will steam revoke my refund rights if I request a refund again after receiving a warning already?
I want to request a refund on a Yakuza Bundle that I purchased on Steam because it's available for cheaper on GOG but I am worried that their refund system will ban my refund rights if I submit a refund request.

When I requested a refund for a game with zero hours of playtime and that I wasn't even demoing on, I received this warning:
"It looks like you’ve requested a significant number of refunds recently. If you often have problems with your purchases, please submit another ticket so that we can help you solve these issues.
Please note, that the Steam Refund Policy is not intended as a way to try out games for free. If we have reason to believe that the refund system is used in this manner, we may decline future refund requests."

What you got is "warning stage 1", its the first warning you get from Steam if you are refunding too much for their taste.
If you now refund a few more games you will get "warning stage 2".
Which is basically a harsher warning, something like " we notice you are still refunding a lot of games, please be aware that we me refuse to grant future refunds if this pattern persists".

If you get that second warning stage you should stop refunding for a few months, it will cool down again after that.
I must have refunded around 100 games over the years and reached that second warning a few times especially during sales.
You can refund that Yakuza bundle without worry because you are still at stage 1 of the warning. ( but its still better if you stop after that for a while and especially keep a few bought games, that does help a lot with the cooldown of the warning).

Once you get that warning they're telling you that you look like you're absuing the refund policy

Aka you better be absolutely damn sure you want to do any refudns in the future because steam can stop abusers from making refunds

I am not even abusing their refund system but yet I received those sort of warnings that are threatening to revoke my refund rights if I submit a another refund request. I normally only request refunds for reasons such as if I changed my mind on the game I purchased or if I want to purchase the game elsewhere where available for cheaper.

If you got a warning, they think you are. What they think is the only thing that matters. If you're talking about the same bundle that I think you're talking about, you're literally talking about a dollar and change difference minus the tax.

The bundle is $16 and change at GOG and $17 and change on the Steam store

That amount of money difference is hardly worth not being able to ever refund a game again.

It's actually a $14.01 price difference on a bundle that I am talking about. I wish I had seen the bundle on GOG before I purchased the bundle from Steam. The bundle sells for $42 on Steam while $27.99 on GOG.

I messaged Steam customer support about it just to be safe to see if they can refund the price difference or just refund the whole bundle manually. But they taking awhile to respond back.

Which exact bundle are you talking about?

This one: https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/22722/The_Yakuza_Collection/
It's $42 here on Steam while $27.99 on GOG. I am upset at myself for not checking the price for it on GOG. I don't know if I can safely request a refund or not so I might be screwed.

I'm fairly certain that you could buy Steam keys from legitimate sites, for each one of those games and probably spend $27.99 or less.

Probably not a good idea to ask for any refunds for a few months otherwise Steam may refuse to give you any more refunds.

The remastered bundle just by itself is only about $10 with no tax.

I see. I wonder if I should try submitting a refund request or wait to get in touch with Steam Customer Support to reply back to me. I wonder if will be safer to contact Steam Customer Support to refund me manually than submitting a refund request for their refund system to automatically refund me within a hour.

I certainly think you should stop submitting refunds. Also, it's a privilege. Not a right. If it was a right, it couldn't be revoked. In the case of refunds regarding Steam, they certainly can be revoked.

Nope, just use the Refund mechanism, if you go via support it will just take longer (usually) because of the amount of tickets they have to trudge through.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Ok thank you for confirming that. I will go ahead using the refund mechanism then instead.

Update: You turned out to be right. I managed to get a refund without my ability to request refunds being revoked. Everything end up ok.

Isn't it dangerous to use the refund mechanism after receiving those warnings? I think I may have to wait for them to issue a refund manually.

It goes through the same process, just one area looks at just refunds and the other is General enquiries. You will end up with the same result just one involves more processes.

If you are getting the warning already no matter who handles it that will be taken into account with this refund.
