epic games launcher is unequivocally the worst platform out there

a basic feature like scanning game folders is absent and has been absent since launch but that's not too bad. I'm fortunate enough to have a gigabit fiber. so instead of waiting 5-10 minutes for large 100gb+ games I have to wait 30 minutes for the download to finish.

however the recent most hilarious development had me guffaw and question the sanity of the people who developed this appalling "platform".
I assume most people grab the giveaways and never bother with the launcher again.

now I frequently logged in during the last week to get the daily giveaways and I traveled to southern italy to visit my family.
today when I attempted to log in on my laptop, I received an error for "logging in too often" haha.

so I contact support and they tell me I should refrain from using vpn etc. which I didn't whenever epic was running. other than than some boilerplate garbage you probably have probably seen before.

TL;DR
I got banned for frequently logging in for the daily giveaways. I guess some automated system discovered that my weekly logins changed to daily logins and deemed it dodgy haha.

The Epic glitch "You have attempted too many logins" today was a false positive...

Hahaha... I've like 200+ AAA Games in Epic Account which I never played... Well, fall guys is an exception.

The EG launcher is not going anywhere according to his statement and taking into consideration what has changed since 2019. I will say only this: even Ubisoft Connect has a "Locate installed game" option in its game library, an option that is completely missing in the EGL.

EGL is nowadays like Direct2Drive (if you remember that service): you just buy the right to download and play the game, that's all. And we all remember was happened to that service.
