Did you not read my post you just quoted where I state how I get tons of points for $0?
If we weren't limited on card drops, I might be more interested in badge crafting just as a mini game thing, but I don't like the factbI have to buy cards to complete sets, get duplicate cards far too much, and don't get to keep the cards, which often have cool artwork involving the games I play.
There are plenty of people, however who are heavily invested in these elements of Steam, and spend a lot of time and money in their pursuit.
However, if you are surreptitiously bemoaning the fact that there are no more events for the major sales, well, I am glad they are gone. They were nothing but exploit fests that did nothing towards making sales better nor selling games.
I collect the trading cards and sell them around sales events to get extra wallet money for the sales.
