Sure ABCDEFGHIJK is a different queue than HIJKCDFEGHAB, but for the same titles
I meant games, did you saw ALL different games?
These titles are pushed
All of them were different because I play/purchase/wishlist different games on each.
Different play/purchase/wishlist.
But we got the same 7 ~ 9 titles between us, everyday
As cSg|mc-Hotsauce said, your queue is based on what you wishlist, purchase, and play.
Thanks. None of them were in mine. I checked: these were shown in my previous sales DQ.
You can dig into what you had in your discovery queue here:
https://help.steampowered.com/it/accountdata/DiscoveryQueueHistory
I compared mine with other 3 users, and we have something more than 7 titles overlapping daily, in the same day of the sales. This is my data and the reason for the post.
Which is probably okay, or else you'd never see anything outside your own personal bubble.
But again, the queue only gives you games, it doesn't tell you why.
Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader - Wishlisted (I enjoy Warhammer games)
House Flipper 2 - Ignored (Reviews are the reason and I am meh on HF1)
Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising - Ignored (Looked way to strange)
Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted 2 - Ignored Quickly (I hate horror games)
Mind Over Magic - Ignored (I don't enjoy top-down strat cartoon games)
Railroader - Ignored (Looked boring to me)
Pioneers of Pagonia - Wishlisted (Looked interesting)
WITCH ON THE HOLY NIGHT - Ignored (Looked boring)
Horny Housewives - Easily Ignored (One of many reskinned adult 3D games)
One-armed robber - Ignored (Free game sure, but looked like a lowgrade Pay Day 2)
Arizona Sunshine® 2 - Ignored (Looked boring)
FINAL FANTASY VII EVER CRISIS - Ignored (I have Final Fantasy's launcher)
Doubt anyone had the same xD
Exactly, and this is what I thought too. And it's doing it for this titles in the same/nearly days for everyone- Most of this new titles overlapping in the same days are popular (or becoming pop) and steam is advertising them on the DQs. This happens -at least- every major sale, every day with same new pop titles overlapping.
If this is done with an advertising payment from the publisher, or not, was not about my post, was not what I pointed out, initially. Now I am quite thinking of it. It could be Valve sells advertising slots to them to let their game show up on DQs day after day.
Would it be too shameful to confirm this?
No. This is an advertising platform, and this is quite conceivable. It's ok.
Would it be too annoying for Valve to let people talk about?
Since some of the usual timewasters rushed here writing the opposite of what I observed, with a not confirmable experience, now I am quite thinking this stepped-on the foot of someone. Is this paid advertising good / is it bad? It's not the point, but it would be nice to let others make their opinion about, so if I come here to put an eye on "corpo-annoying" data, I am free to do it and let them regulars ridiculize themself with they old same fanboys attitude.
