From hating due to lack of a desired sale on something because a Developer chose not to go too low.

Note that even if it doesn't show the discount on the wishlist if you go the game's store page it does.

The servers may take a while due to being constantly slammed to display everything properly, and Devs can set different start times.

I usually skip the first day. It's two weeks worth of sales. I'll get around to it later.

Happens during each major sale.
It's why other sites have less issues displaying right away; they have little traffic compared to Steam. That, and what the selected start time is can vary, though most are 10AM PST, it can still take a while. Patience is always recommended for summer/winter sales.
