People wanting stuff they don't like removed is not the same as wanting curation. None of them want the latter, cause they don't want the games they like to not be for sale.
If you know what you're looking for, you don't have to sift through more than a few hundred games. Just use the provided browse by tag system. It's a lot more helpful than some people think. Also, I dismiss most games at one glance. And even so, got a pretty full library and wishlist. If you know what you're looking for, you'll find it. But you have to know what you want from a game to find a game you might like.
If nothing catches my interest.. I just check back in a a week.
How many are worth looking at? Dunno. I am not gonna scan 20k games for a gem. Takes too long. Do you have time to filter out nearly 60 games a day?
You don't have to "scan" 20.000 games. What do you want to play right now?
Metroidvania, Strategy game (turn-based or RTS), Shooter, RPG, Platformer, Sandbox game... there are tags for you to actually use to search and narrow down games which would scratch your itch.
