Just got a notification that i have been VAC Banned.

So, about 11 years ago, i got a vac ban in mw2. I did my time, the ban vanished from my profile after 7 years. Today, when i signed into steam, i got a big notification across my screen saying you have been issued a vac ban for call of duty mw2 2009. Please acknowledge this message to return to steam.
They were like...hey man, we didnt want you to forget. We wanted you to know we still shame you, 10+ years later XDDD

Ban is not lifted after 7years a VAC ban is permanent, only thing that happens is the red "Vac banned" on your profile is hidden.

I just got the same notification, my profile still says last ban was 2000+ days ago however.

And your profile is correct. This is just a general notification some people received for various titles that use Vac - it started on Monday.

You can basically just ignore it.
