hi! I'm wondering how we can opt-in to take Steam Hardware Survey , because i remember i have seen it 10 years ago, but havent since, not on any of my gaming rigs..

Valve hands out surveys to random users who log into Steam on the first of the month.

I usually get one 3-4x a year on multiple PCs.

thats the thing, i want to do the survey, but i never get it.. like ever.. annoying.. just how many steam users that is skippet, i feel the survey is not correct at all

It's based on random picks. Some people can get it multiple times, if log in from various hardware changes.

Since I build PC's for people, and have to test performance, I've had it pop up 5-6 times this year randomly, across 30 or so systems.

It should be quite correct within a margin of a few %.
If you have a large enough number of participants the upscaling of the results is pretty accurate....like you see every few years when somewhere an election is held and the pre result surveys by media are taken.
