Can't login to my steam account
Like the title says, I just get "There have been too many sign in failures from your location in a short time period. Please wait and try again later." I'm currently traveling and came from Brazil, then stayed in Thailand for 2weeks (no issues there) and
I'm now in the philippines, and can't sign in to my steam account, just keep getting the above message with my user name and password on my laptop. I'm signed in on my phone an if I try signing in with the qr code I get an error an doesn't sign in.

I there anywhere I can get help with this issue, seems Steam is impossible to contact?

Someone please help!

I can't even change the password, as my response to the CAPTCH appears to be INVALID.

Don't know what to do. I'm completely locked from my account because obviously Steam bugs :(

Open browser, clear cache, and cookies, or use another browser, ensure not using any addon/extension that mess with CAPTCHA. Ensure DNS isn't the problem, or the VPN/proxy might be using.

Two options, either change password, or do account recovery, which you're gonna need to do CAPTCHA.

For recovery head to steam website while not login > I forgot password > put in made up email to fail the search, click on blue sign that appear asking if want to search by login name > search by login name then select it > click to no all questions it asks > last page is password click I forgot password you be at the form to fill out to support. Please note support will reply to you asking you proof of ownership.

Also when you do change password, you will need to relog on your mobile app, so I hope you have recovery code written down just incase if something doesn't go right.

that's a bug and it can be solved by simple action. disconnect your internet (completely, click on connection icon and disconnect, you don't have to close steam window or something). wait for few minutes, connect, reload steam page and you'll login just alright.

don't listen to those "reboot, cleat your cache, format your drive" suggestions. it's a known bug and can be easily fixed by dropping connection and then steam will reconnect just alright

in case it won't fix itself with this method then proceed with clearing your cache and so on.

I've tried all those options with the same result, can't even change the password as it fails my CAPTCH.

There is no issues with my Internet connection, no proxy/vpn, DNS has been cleared and reset, only use firefox for my browser.

The only thing I haven't tried is reinstalling Steam.

Thanks for trying anyway.

Yean can see it's a bug, I've tried your suggestion and can get to my account in offline mode, but if I try to go online again, I'm left with the Steam logo and the circling blue line.

Thanks for trying, think I need to contact Steam about this issue, if possible.

Does this happen on multiple devices on the same network?

Do have time sync to the internet correctly?

Only have my laptop to test with and worked fine in Thailand, just seems to be having an issues with the philippines, maybe Steam has blocked my laptop because I'm traveling to different counties, although my phone is logged in ok.

Yeah, time is sync correctly.

If CAPTCHA works on your phone, then means the issue on your laptop.

Only other thing I can think of you can try doing is flushing your network on laptop.

To Flushing your network might fix the issue, open command promt as admin, and give this a try, then restart PC and test.

Do this.
netsh winsock reset netsh int ip reset

Then do this.
ipconfig /release ipconfig /flushdns ipconfig /renew
Now restart PC and test.

you probably have network data messed up, old DNS records. and probably spotty connection so it just hags on loading. try to flush the network and add google DNS as your 3d. I'm not sure how to do that on Windows, somewhere in network settings. with google DNS you will always have fallback to it.

I finally got logged in, don't know what caused the issue (had already cleared the DNS and switched servers and reset IP config including uninstalling my network adapter and reinstalling it with any resolution).

Thanks for trying to help, lets see if it happens again on my next trip!
