How big of an upgrade is a 3070 over a 2060 Super?

My grandpa is retiring from his bitcoin mining ventures and giving me one of his cards. Anybody know how decent of a jump in performance this will be? i7-6700k

your cpu will bottleneck the hell out of the 3070 though so you won't get full benefit from it

If you play with V-sync on for 60FPS, then you are good to go with 3070&i7-6700k. 1440p and 4K resolutions are even better for your CPU. As long as you limit the FPS to 60, bottleneck won't be felt. However if you want every single FPS you can get from 3070, you will feel the bottleneck.

bottlenecking only occurs when data is moved betweeen the gpu and bus.
between this... the gpu reneders at full speed.
the gpu can run without the cpu to be honest.
