It's not all that hard to do.
does modern Linux play all games available on windows?
not that smart to do all sort of stuff, if i get it all has to work, not that tech literate, old days i have had to clean my machine manually from badware when i was more green but messing with the machine when game doesn't work i half to go to repair shop or hope patches will fix it
Actually, as long an SSD is present, Windows 10 will use the available resources better than Windows 7 on same hardware! :)
If your PC/laptop has only 4 GBs of RAM, consider upping that.
You know, something being easy to say doesn't mean it's easy to do. It may not be realistic, or even possible.
Your issue is you think Valve should spend a hundred million dollars to extend the life of your potato PC. And you don't realize that potato PC users with no money to upgrade aren't some kind of cash cow.
The fantasy OS you imagine wouldn't be one and done... it would need constant updates too. And new versions. Your problem is you don't like the PC ecosystem and your ignorance is such you think if you take MS out of the equation that solves all problems.
You've just got a laundry list of "easy to say, so easy to do" requirements don't you?
i have enough ram but i won't sacrifice it for OS all goes for gaming
Potato PC? LOL
its new PC, i am just not willing to sacrifice any ram (from 16GB) to OS that was stupidly made, there is no reason to make OS with higher sys requirement's
only reason to do it is greed to milk dumb ppl out of money, dumb are ppl who always shill and defend awry Microsoft move, there are ppl like that with Bethesda to, i like some of their games but i still critique them to
so its basically legal scam
no1 asked for win8 no1 asked for win10 and no1 asked for win11 but they still did it and i hade enough like many, many are still on windows 7, i am on win10 cause it came with my PC
Many, many are still on Win 7? Not true, it's a minority nowadays that still games on Win7.
You can use SteamOS or Linux if you don't want to keep using Win10.
Well being ignorant in your assumption that resource requirements increase for no reason isn't really an improvement over a potato PC. Just saying.
Also RAM is cheap, if you're that fussed about RAM usage, get enough RAM where you don't need to fuss over it. Valve is hardly going to make a whole OS to appease your random hangups over RAM. Valve doesn't share your hangups, and you having some kind of hangup doesn't necessitate accommodation.
Ah yes, someone who can't develop their software themselves has it all figured out. Say, when exactly did increased resource usage start being a scam? Are you under the belief that 640k is all the RAM anyone will ever need and every required increase is due to the scam you've claimed? Or was 512MB that limit? 1GB? Or is it just your current system where you've decided this invented belief of yours has merit?
"no1" asks for anything. Businesses don't sit idle and wait for "sum1" to ask for a product. I think your understanding of PC's is mired in just endless layers of ignorance. I think the underlying theme for your beliefs is, "If I don't like it, it must be wrong. And I'm sure 'every1' agrees with me."
It's too bad all the unhappy users with opinions can't actually get together and create the utopia they think should exist. Somehow the smart people with the actual talent screw it all up. It's so tragic.
i don't want to upgrade but with ending support (in 2025) they are forcing ppl to upgrade and this pisses me off
but if it had same requirements i would have considered it and no unnecessary crap in it, functions apps so on and on, after win7 they do have unnecessary build in useless stuff with it
EDIT:
i stick to 10 until my rig gets 2old, but maybe by then i drop gaming to, i think i get 2old for it with 10years, for 1 i am sick of them making new OS versions all the time, i would have preferred they stopped at win7, second sys requirement's for win11 are insane (my rig meets the minimum requirement's though), as a gamer i want OS to be as light on resources as possible and from that preceptive the requirement's are insane and outrageous so hell no, no win11 and no win12, unless they got back to basics and went back to win10 sys requirement's

The latter is just subjective. To me Win 7 already was the start of adding unnecessary stuff.
