'the bloodline' misleading store page info - not open world
Dear Steam Support, I want to bring to your attention that 'The Bloodline' store page is incorrectly selling the game as an open-world game and it clearly is not. an open-world game is one that allows you to climb a mountain in the distance, or the reach a castle in the distance on, in TB u just hit an invisible wall if u try to explore a short distance, TB does not let you do this so when your steam store page says 'The Bloodline is a Open World Fantasy Action RPG' this is very mis-leading, this is not the case. It only loads very small map sections at a time, so that very often u hit an invisible wall and you cannot pass through. The only option at this point is to go to the overworld map and select the next block of the map to load up, which a, takes time, b, is very immersion breaking, and reloads all the monsters that i pain-stackingly killed in the previous sub-map load.
This is being miss-sold, its mis-leading, i feel like Steam and the developer have profitted of me on the back of lies sold on your store page and this is why I respectfully request that i get a full refund. I am not the only person to have complined about this, I have searched the steams discussion page about not truly open world and cant travel from A tom B and these peopel are also complaining about the game not being truly open world. These are the the discusssions I mentioned: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1159290/discussions/0/3875968032471040445/#c3875968032471182088

When I tried to refund i got the generic 'u have played over 2hrs' message when I posted all of the above info, im sure no one actually read it, but the steam store is ur responsibility and it needs to be clear and consise, and not misleading! U mislead me and loads of other players, so please refund me, as is my right in the consumer act when a product is sold under a misleading pretence of it being something which it is not. This is clearly not an open world game

Game devs/publishers add the infor to the store page. Keep in mind that your subjective opinion about what is what isn't a compelling reason to claim "misleading", especially with all the lawsuits regarding NMS and such showing that such things are much stricter than people think.

You're free to create a manual ticket to see if you can get an exception. You're also free to go to your local consumer agency and file a complaint.

Looks to be an early access game, and while open world may mean to you that you can walk the entire world, most open world games are zoned.

i did raise a ticket but because i played over 2hrs they dismisssed it, i played just over that limit

Open world typically means that the world is non linear. Aka you can go anywhere in the world at any time. Doesn't mean it can't be zoned.

Not only that, you also need to meet the 2 week requirement on top so if you've owned it more than 14 days even if you had less than 2 hours on record, it would've been denied.

Early access games are always a huge risk and there's likely less leeway from Valve in refunding these outside of the usual policy.

8.7 hours is a bit more than "just over" 2.

what kind of open world game only lets u walk 100 steps until u hit a invisible wall! I dont know how u think this qualifies as an open world game. One of my favourite games on steam is Gedonia , and it has the same low poly graphics, he same o-pen world boast BUT this is truly an open world game, u can travel from 1 continent to another, with no invisible walls. So when I saw TB on the store with the same art style and the open-world statement i was blown of my feet! i was so happy , and so i bought the game, I BOUGHT THE LIE! i bought it under the misleading false pretence of it being open world, now i need a refund but more importantly ii ant the page corrrected!!!!

You bought an early access game, that is being developed as they can work on it. I mean, they do warn you, on the page, quite clearly not to buy it unless you feel you're 100% happy staying as it is now.

Maybe in the future, those walls will drop, you never know. Welcome to Early Access.

OK steam Support, im not even bothered about the refund its only £15, its not gonna send me into bankruptcy! lol ! BUT what I do care about is the misleading info on the store page, I have brought it to ur attention, that ur steam store for this game is based on a massive lie, what you choose to do with that information is upto you!

This is a user forum — you’re not informing Support by posting here. Report a game via its store page. Good luck, traveler.

This is the only info that matters with early access games https://tagn.files.wordpress.com/2016/01/steamearlyaccess.png

You may have more luck if you report the storepage instead of thinking that creating a thread in the general steam discussion equals a report to steam.......

I mean original zelda was open world, even if that world was broken up into smaller screens

So you didn't know that Steam is fine with false advertising? That's a common thing around here, see this game for example:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1993010/Clown_Theft_Auto_Woke_City/

Many of the features listed are not present in the game, but Steam never cared about this kind of thing.
so does early access have to match the advertised description or not..
