Give it about 2 months, then see if it's still all good
I said 2 months, not 2 weeks. I say that because when Steam dropped support for Windows XP & Vista, it was the same situation. People went into hysterics and complained but then January 1st rolled around and everything was still cool and working for them so they felt they were in the clear. But then at some point in March, Steam pushed out some sort of update that blocked XP & Vista systems from accessing the client.
I could be wrong but that will most likely happen again, where in March an update comes through the pipeline and Windows 7 & 8 systems are blocked from the client.
you guys do know windows 7 support has ended long ago right? now even security patch won't be applied to it. so windows 7 as os is use at your own risk now. there's no way you can expect any application to continue support it.
Also a good reason to block chromium APIs in Firefox, if you know what you're doing.
Thanks for that info.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Any money spent on Steam is irrelevant.
Demand? They didn't release a legacy client for any other old OS. They will not do it for Windows 7 either. If it's offline, how are you going to download your games?
Core i3-3550S,
8GB 2400mhz,
GTX 650Ti/GTX 680
250GB SATA HDD
Running Windows Embedded Standard 7.
without updates to this WINDOWS Operating system installed on this Namco System ES3, it would be a security hellhole with all kinds of people either trying to steal information or cheat in the game (not sure entirely what kind of method would be used to do this but it can and will happen if its updates are gone, especially remotely) but these cabinets are
A) Entertainment
B) being handled by customers and NEED to be secured
in no way does YOUR PERSONAL WINDOWS 7 COMPUTER do anything warranting these updates. (yes you need to be secure too, but that is ENTIRELY on YOU, not Microsoft) thus the arguing FOR WINDOWS 7 (From 2009, its 2024) is pointless. just use SteamOS or any linux distribution and stop crying.
