soon we will test it in real environment. New Year is coming.
Good idea, thx @kitty but do not worry, i have so many games that if some does not work correctly of even does not work at all, i will considere them as dead.
Some allready stopped working because they have a server part and publisher stopped the server.
It's something steam should specify in the system req imo but i guess no one will ever buy any ubicrot game it was the case.
The Offline Mode FAQ says that most games will require their first launch be while you are online on Steam.

I wonder if we launch it via steamCMD, could it activate it instead of steam client? if it has ability to run game it probably can register it as well? even if running fails.
While reading your exchange, i am surfing on the steamcmd dev page and what's surprise me was that
https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/SteamCMD
For security reasons, it is recommended that you create a new Steam account just for your dedicated servers.
i allways thought we coudn't have more than one account per people....
it says servers. probably not related to desktop experience because you run servers on remote PC or on your PC and that will be one account. then if you want to run game as client (ordinary user) you might need second account because you can only run 1 instance of game per account.
Its just exactly this. But affects people who using out-of-date OS and try defending this braindead idea with same amount of braindead arguments. But there are just stupid braindead arguments for staying with outdated unsecure OS. Not a single logical true answer for stay with old insecure software.
not really. it's all in steamCMD manual. you input your user/pass/2FA code, you manage your games.
I'm asking how you bypass that it requires Steam and with Online mode on to run Steamworks DRM games.
can you stop putting words into my mouth? I never said "online". we talked about offline use. games that can be played offline.
Ok then.
