I recently got a DM on discord from a user called Daisy3. He said that he had accidently false reported my account for "Duplicate games/items". This is a false report and I have nothing to do with this. Daisy3 told me to contact a moderator called KellyT. I have contacted KellyT on discord in which he has responded. I am still waiting to here some more from KellyT but I would like to see if anyone else could help me out! Thank You!

It's a scam, Steam doesn't use Discord.

Yes it's all fake the person is trying to steal your account. Valve does not use Discord for ANYTHING and they will never contact you. They do not give warnings that a ban is coming... They just issue the ban and then you have to reach out to support for help.

It's trivially easy to edit a web page to make it fit a narrative, then make a "video" of it to give it credibility.

There is no reason for Valve/Steam to make use of Discord to reach out to you. They literally own their own platform (Steam) to contact you.

Valve employees will never direct message you on Steam or on messaging apps for support. They’ll only message you via the ticketing system.

This scam normally means that your account is compromised and they want to trick you into sending your items to another account.... They then change the trade with a fake account that looks like your friends account and you lose items after accepting the trade.....

if there is text in there then your account is compromised do the list below.....

In future if a site asks you to log in via steam, open a new page and log into this address first using the same browser:

https://store.steampowered.com/login/

Once logged in refresh the page that is asking you to login via steam using f5 (again this must be on the same browser). If it is a legit page it will ask you to confirm the correct account is logging in by clicking a button, and not ask you to put your details in again...

If after you refresh the site page still asks for your login details then it is not legit.
