Summer in the City Badge Bug

Hey all

Had something that's been bugging me for a little while. For some reason when the last Summer sale ended despite using all summer cards in my inventory to level up the badge, the badge listing is still at the top of my list when I go to badges.

This has never happened to me with any prior sale and if I at least had kept a summer card that I didn't use it would at least kinda make sense but I don't have any summer cards whatsoever.

Here's a screenshot of how my badge page looks when I go into it:

Has anyone here had this issue before and if so how long did it take for it to resolve and disappear as it should?

Tends to happen with just about every sale event badge, it goes away whenever Valve feels like fixing it which could be weeks or months.

Ah I see, maybe I just never noticed it there before or got lucky the other times.

At least glad to hear it's not something that's only happened to me and that it should go away eventually.

Valve will eventually remove the badge progression in the next few months or whenever. ValveTime is key.

Last years Summer badge progression was there for months after the event ended.

Wow is that right? Can't believe I didn't notice it but it may have something to do with me getting more invested into crafting badges this year.

There's nothing to fix. This is not a Valve bug. This is a Valve decision!
Valve wants to give users with all cards the ability to create the badge months after the event ends.

Except at this point you can't create the badge anymore. You haven't been able to do that for a while. The cards expired.

Yes...again, the cards are expired.

This is incorrect.

Badge crafting and inventory performance changes

We've made some changes to badge crafting and improvements to inventory page performance. Here's what's changed:

• Sale badges remain craftable after cards expire, provided you had enough cards in your inventory when the cards expired. If you forgot to craft at the end of a past sale, now's your chance!

With that said, it's true they indeed haven't removed the badge progress for those who haven't got the full set...maybe after the autumn sale?

It's pretty soon now, so we'll see.
