Considering they haven't even revealed the actual system requirements for the game I would provisionally say it will suck and won't even work on Windows 10.

They are entirely different games.
Nope Steam Discussions is definitely the right place for the upcoming new Counter-Strike game.

CS2 is an update to CS:GO. They are literally the same game.

They are the same games? They aren't even sharing the same game engine.
CS:GO was released in Aug, 2012 while CS2 will use the Source2-engine which was released in 2015.

CS2 will be released this year as a Free-to-Play game and will thus replace CS:GO which is also Free-to-Play. This is done in order to gather/concentrate the F2P-playerbase around a single CS-game. They are however entirely different games, MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT.

Maybe your confusion arises from the fact that CS2's Limited Test is for select CS:GO players. The game is not out yet and we are missing a lot of information about the upcoming game. It is definitely not an update but more like an upgrade from the previous game.

CS2 is an update for CS:GO. Yes, the engine will be updated from Source to Source2, just like with Dota 2, which already was updated to Source2 back in 2015.

Yep, that's pretty much where all the mods are moving threads to and when CS2 drops, the forum will transition as will the store page so the obvious place to discuss it with everyone else that's doing it is in there.
