Year 1 + 2 fortnite wasnt just a game for the kiddies. It was a game that actually took real skill and felt FUN. Not because it was new only, but because each match felt important. Secondly, if anyone actually played the campaign it was one of the best co-op experiences in my life! Consistent updates with holiday weapons and unique pickups. It felt like a persistent online game to collect items in and shoot up hordes of things while solving objectives. Was really fun. But they kinda gave up on it to focus on pvp and things got old. After a while you just ended up doing the same boring missions and no choice between the same set of 3-5. Nothing else to achieve even though a lot of cool weapons still left to be found. Needed more actual content that used each weapon sometimes.

You can lookup Flaak5 on the fortnite tracker. I seriously was good at this game but got bored of it once turbo building, corny weapons, and battle passes got added. It went from a seriously good competitive shooter to a str8 up kiddie games with kids on tv doing floss dances.

The fact fortnite got so popular ruined it. But to date was some of the best moments of fun. Just traversing a map that was dangerous yet fun to move around looking for fights was great. You wouldnt just instantly turbo build an entire fort. You would strategically place yourself and begin a long fight. Sometimes people would come team you, but overall because no turbo building and jetpacks and mines to fly around the map it would be a fair fight.

Number 1 cause of fortnite going downhill is turbo building. Anyone can hold down a single button swing there button and create 8+ walls. Its just not fun to me when a noob with no skill can be these defensive and waste my time. As you can see if you check my tracker I just havnt really played much if ever in the last years. But before that I really enjoyed winning 1/4 games on solo.



Hope some of yall can relate. I also feel theres not many good pvp shooters that you can take pride in your skill level anymore.

epic is saving money by having its users use the steam forums to talk about how good there games are vs steam, its funny but yeah not a joke, i think epic seen the value that steam already has a forum dedicated to complaining video game players.

The fact that fortnite and the Unreal Engine are the ONLY things keeping Epic open shows how they do business.
They throw money at people and hope they will earn it back (which in the whole time the epic games store has been open, epic has not made any money from it, infact they are losing money through their own store).

Im not really complaining, all im doing is reminiscing about how good year 1 and 2 were until it was destroyed. If anything im complaining that the market has 0 good modern pvp shooters.

And its a wonder people are complaining. The game market is trash for online games.

have to agree years 1 and part of year 2 i think up until they added taxi's was great, after that it went down hill, but also have to agree that online games are just full of cheaters now a days, everyone cheat and the online gaming community is full of scummy nobodies that all wanna be somebody.

streaming / videos, looking for ratings and fans is why a lot of people cheat now a days. also the quality of games are just cash grabs, we are at the point in video gaming where we have 1000's of options and are all poor quality, every new game that comes out has less and less quality because it wants to compete with the cost vs the profit.

quality is no profit but giving games people love, it turns out the larger the profit the more scummy the company making the profits are.

Yeah, don't count on it. Riot Games outright REMOVED their forums a few years ago, and look at the ♥♥♥♥ they are still doing.
