The ONLY trusted trading platform is Steam itself - you are already warned to only trade within Steam. All 3rd party "trading" sites should be treated as scam / phishing sites.
Apparently not - as per the warning against "Trading items/gifts for money outside of the Steam Community market."

You are mistaken. Valve not only condones these third party platforms, they have a history of banning and unbanning their bots that house hundreds of thousand’s of dollars of skins. They would never do that for individuals.
What you highlighted just stated to not add those things to a trade offer which is self explanatory. But to keep it simple, where do you think all the items worth 2k and above end up? Valve states they don’t return scammed items but they do it for these sites by unbanning their bots. Valve clearly knows these sites offer stattrak factory new howls for 7-15k and dragon lores for 25k. Everyone loved those karambit sapphires for 15k. They don’t go on the steam market and it’s silly for people to continue to think the people using these sites are stupid or unaware. They are scams but the entire economy is a complete scam. Valve doesn’t want to “dilute the economy” which is admitting that it doesn’t want to lower the value of their 15 billion dollar industry despite it being completely price manipulated by the ultra rich. A former valve employee even confirmed to me some more nepharious claims that I’m not comfortable sharing here.
I assume it's a portion of the money they make off emptying the inventories of poor users like op, but yeah, no one tries that hard to defend scum like that unless they are already on their payroll...
You have horrible reading comprehension skills. I would be the furthest thing ever from a shill for any of this garbage. I've written APA papers on these topics. I have no idea why you think my disgust for these oligopoly-like ultra high net worth sites equates to WORKING for them. Seriously; learn to read. I literally only wrote my disgust for valve's policies and the way they cater to these multi million dollar skin sites by unbanning their bots at the owner's request, while continuing to turn a blind eye so as to support further market mainipulation by price fixing.
Which is completely absurd, and a sign of the collapse of civilization.
(just the fact that people trade "skins" for $, and think they have value. Let alone "billions" of value.)
