how likely is it that my steam account will be hacked
it has been inactive for 2-3 years and only has free games on it, i dont remember the username nor the email, will it get hacked.

is there also a chance that steam will delete it beacouse of inactivity?

Accounts are not hacked, and Valve does not disable inactive accounts. If you don't fall for phishing scams or otherwise don't hand out your username, password, and recent 2FA key, your account is perfectly safe.

Steam accounts are never hacked, they are phished. Also steam does not delete accounts due to inactivity.

Accounts are not deleted for inactivity.

As for "hacking" does it matter if you dont remember the username?

Yes, as you still have 2FA in the form of e-mail codes. The 2FA app is only "more secure" as it eliminates your e-mail account as a partial point of failure.

It's still unlikely for a couple of reasons. For one thing, like basically every website nowadays, Steam has measures in place to prevent people bruteforcing your username and password.

And speaking of the username, that is another indirect security measure. Your username is not viewable by anyone except for Valve/Steam, so if you didn't set your other account's profile name to the same thing as your username, it would be nearly impossible to guess since it could be literally anything.

So as long as your username and password weren't shared with anyone and you haven't reused them on other sites that have had account data leaked and dumped online somewhere, the odds of someone getting into your account a very very low.
