No but 6 times is a pretty substantial number, do you not agree? I never said all trans kids are autistic. A hell of a lot are and the go to "treatment", for some reason, is sterilizing them. That's my main point.
It still isn't enough to be the majority. The "treatment" isn't happening as much as you think either.
A quarter of trans kids being autistic is no coincidence. Even if they sterilize one kid, thats 1 too many, imo. And we are only counting diagnosed autistic kids. The spectrum is exactly that, a spectrum. Trans kids notoriously get miss diagnosed or no diagnosis at all. Understandably, its a very complicated situation, even for well educated doctors. Chloe Cole comes to mind. Doctors are also, only human.
It wasnt that long ago where it was acceptable to literally chop out a chunk of a downs kids brain to essentially render them a vegetable. That was the accepted treatment for downs kids, not that long ago.
You're making it sound like they are hold kids down to sterilize them or something. They aren't.
In fact, puberty blockers were in use long before then being a treatment for gender disphoria. The only difference now is how long the treatment lasts.
I never said they are holding kids down. But do you not agree that pre pubescent kids arent the best decision makers amd will usually trust their parents decisions and their parents trust a doctors decision. Im sure all the parents who got their downs kids labotomized in the 40s under doctor recommendation, one, didnt know any better, two, most likely regretted the decision years later and even filed.l lawsuits. Dr walter freeman preformed so many labotomies, he figured put a quicker, more easy way of doing it with an ice pick. Doctors didnt hold a gun to parents head before they preformed lobotomies on their children either. What's your point?
Puberty blockers have been around for a long time, correct. There being this many trans kids in society has not. Treating gender dysphoria with puberty blockers is new. Since gender dysphoria as a diagnosis is also new with ot becoming much more common.
It isn't happening like that.
There isn't this big trend of kids getting on puberty blockers on a whim because the parents think they are trans or anything. In fact, doctors warn against anything that may have long lasting effects.
The procedure is to do something that is easily reversed such as changing clothes and hair/makeup.
BTW, just stating my opinion of LGBTQ on Game FAQ got me banned for a brief period of time.
Message boards aren't obligated to "free speech" as they aren't "public", people can be banned for anything the owners of the site post as rules.

Either way, trans people arent having kids. Whether its physically sterlizing them as children or convincing them their feelings are perfectly normal and not a mental illness so when they get old enough, they chop off their junk willfully. Either way, an increasingly decent chunk of the population already isnt having children anymore. Which goes back to the over population issue. What Hobbit theroizes is already on full motion and happening.
Not saying this never devolves into a flame war but slowmango is bringing valid points to the table and i feel the discussion is informative and not devolving into a flame war at all.
If steam isn't the proper platform for this type of discussion, what is? Where wont it devolve into a flame war? Are you saying this discussion isnt important enough to have?
I understand this topic isnt for everyone but you shouldn't suggest WE stop discussing it because YOU cant handle the topic. If it makes you uncomfortable, feel free to block or simply not read. I find it counter productive you would even make a post like this.
I just got banned an hour ago for my opinion and views. I appealed it and it got quickly overturned. Im not going to hold back my opinion for fear of being banned on the steam forums. I am well aware of the rules. And i actively try to not get banned and respect the rules. Apparently i am more aware and better at comprehending the rules than at least one mod who banned me and whoever reported me. Evident by the fact a steam support employee quickly reversed the ban. Thanks donald. I fully understand free speech isnt a thing here and never claimed it was, nor did i argue that it my ban appeal or anywhere.
Trans kids getting puberty blockers is not a myth, yes thousands of kids are put on puberty blockers, trans or not though. Puberty blockers get prescribed for cis hetero children all the time for various reasons, puberty blockers are completely reversible and have no long lasting effects.
You sound misinformed. Puberty Blockers do not cause infertility, long periods of hormone dosing cause infertility, obviously though, as the individual taking the hormones is taking the opposite hormones their body naturally produces, to alter their bodies to fit themselves.
On top of that, getting access to this through medicine is extremely rigorous and requires everyone involved ample time and effort to decide if it's the appropriate thing to do. It's not happening on a whim, nor is it being forced upon anyone.
In essence, you have half bits and pieces of information, but are conflating it with incorrect information as well as just making some information up. Also, you got banned prior on this forum for being incredibly hostile and insulting, maybe you should rethink posting comments that advocate for some form of genocide to a minority group. Thanks.

If one trans kid is perscribed puberty blockers and becomes sterile, thats one too many imo. The fact that even one kid was given this type of treatment is concerning.
Every doctor is different. My kids doctor would never perscribe puberty blockers. Some doctors will. You cant say its a rigorous process. It may be with some 'good' doctors, doesnt mean all doctors are like that. Doctors know opioid painkillers are super addictive, that never hindered some doctors to over perscribe to people, thereby causing the opioid epidemic we are experiencing right now.
If my ban was just, like you insinuate, would i not still be banned? I dont know where you are getting that info from. Im here posting arent i? I couldn't have been that offensive. If valve was against this discussion, they would have locked this thread months ago. They didn't, so I think its safe to assume this is the correct place for this discussion. Just using common sense, I could be wrong and this thread can be locked at moments notice. I'm pretty sure mods are watching this thread closely and have been for a long time. If I t was off topic, they would have locked it.
