Yeah I haven't read the whole thread either, seems like a lot of angry people ranting about stuff.

I did pick up on a couple of points and have to say that no matter repulsive something is, it should not be de-platformed.

You see, moderate people, which we all start out as, sometimes get small grievances with various aspects in life. Perhaps somebody has had their industry destroyed because a load of cheap labour has entered the market, now they may incorrectly blame the cheap labour rather than the greedy corpos. If you de-platform them and label them racists etc all you are doing is pushing them aside, disenfranchising them, and pushing them into the arms of the only people that will listen to their concerns - you guessed it, the extremists.

Instead if you get these extremists on stage, you allow them to air their thoughts (mind farts) then intelligently pick apart their argument, you might not change their mind but you will definitely cause everybody else to see them for who they are. Simply labelling people one way or another and refusing to listen is exactly how we got into this mess where one bloke attacks another for wearing a red hat when both of them have the exact same problems in life. Remember where it all started with the Occupy Wall Street movement, the 99% united against the 1% - weird how that turned into the 49.5% against the 49.5%

The great contrast between The Dawn of Man and the fast forward to the well to do manners of the rest of the film for me really brings it home.
Here we have a structure of able to communicate and allocate resources to achieve a better cohesive society that progresses civilisation.
The past well sometime long ago we learned how to survive most violently.

People can take me and each other as they wish it is what we do.
I take myself on some things very seriously and many others as just a guy looking around and thinking yep we all ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up here on Earth.

Odd isn't it! I've noticed that pattern myself, I identified said users and blocked them. In certain types of threads I see a long sequence of "blocked user - show" and just ignore them, life is simpler now.
