Is Valve index ever gonna be reduced in price?

1080€ is a hefty price and while I am trying to get there to buy it (which is currently at an amazing 13€ there cause I only really can afford to use wallet Funds so selling steam trading cards an CS items) it feels like it should maybe go down in price by now
As far as I can remember it was never on sale, and it’s fairly old by now. Plus what about the HL:A copy?
I already own HL:A so would I just get another copy or would it just be like bundles where you don’t receive anything that you already own?

I know the index is still top quality and the preferable PCVR exclusive option but that price years later is still a bit much
Especially because valve owns steam, they already have infinite money so if they wanted they could just slap on a reduced price and wouldn’t even notice if they made a loss with that

There have been rumors for a while now that a new VR headset by Valve will be revealed in the near future.
If that is the case i suspect the Valve Index will be discounted quiet a bit in the buildup to the release of the new headset.
That could be your best chance.

Maybe they'll cut the price when they wanna clear the stock in time for the Deckard.
