Beware Potential Steam Email Phishing Scam
So i received a Email with the following.

"The email address associated with your Steam account has been successfully changed.
We are sending this notice to ensure the privacy and security of your Steam account. If you authorized this change, no further action is necessary.

If you did not authorize this change made from the computer located at ipaddress (countryname), then please change your Steam password, and consider changing your email password as well to ensure your account security.

If you are unable to access your account then you may use this account specific recovery link for assistance recovering or self-locking your account.
Cheers,
The Steam Team

What makes it weird is it appears to be sent from <noreply@steampowered.com> which is a legitimate email.

"computer located at ipaddress (countryname)," was the only give away as normally they would specify where.

I checked my account security and email address and everything is fine.

I read "use this account specific recovery link" that seems kinda sketchy... did the link look phishy at all?

It looks like it takes you to the steam domain carbon copy with "HelpUnauthorizedLogin" at the end which i don't believe they have a recovery page for as i could not find it on the official site.

Also Huge give away which I only Just noticed they called me by my email name not my original steam name. One of the better phishing scams i've seen lately.

Yeah, if it has a link they want you to click, that pretty much guaranteed to be a phishing attempt.

I'm sure this will get plenty of people... which is too bad.

They likely have a bunch of emails and just mass spam that in hopes one of them has a steam account and doesn't notice the signs like you did.

Glad you didn't fall for it.

Did you check your account after logging in to see if the email address was changed?
