maybe its just what im doing... who knows.
regardless, keep that faith up and hear that the liberty bells ring because the bombs havent stopped yet,
and still, if you look well enough, that star spangled banner does yet still wave.
Fortunately, the "other side" never argues with the things THEY disagree with, they are always post polite and well-reasoned replies.
They do? There's a half of thread open most all based on "me". Harrassing, abusive, stalking, disgusting. All based on one 'Mr Newell" post. Where was the moderation?
Idc, i was in bed when all that transpired, but the "regulars" and "other side" are the worst of the lot. I've personally never seen anything like it.
Others are correct, they likely have friends at moderation, being if i even call them as much as a "class clown", and in defense btw, i'm in the sin bin. Yet, they can call me every name in the book and nothing happens to them.
I'm different though in my opinions then some here, i do believe in governnent regulation, and do feel these social media or chats, need to be looked at. Many ills of society, mass violence, suicide, shootings, espionage and more, many transpire on social media, and our governments need and are looking into it.
Good thing Steam isn't social media. But you already have been shown that. As well literally saying you do not trust government figures in another thread.
As you've been shown even hundreds of times, it is obviously social media, as you have been shown more than dozen times, inquiries into this very site by governmental agencies and groups.
So you can call it social media, or you can call it a banana, but they're being looked at, and def should.
It isn't. That's why none of the legislation includes Steam.
You've been shown this as well as multiple other things that disprove the misinformation you attempt to spread.
You said yourself, either Steam takes action, or government does it. Idc who does, but the site needs to responsible. I said earlier i see no issue deleting posts.
But "who's" being deleted, as compared to those that "should' be deleted, going to Monke and others points.
Steam does take action, they have moderation.
But I'm used to the purposeful misrepresenting of what I say to push a narrative. It's become expected at this point.
There is a discussion there on who should have messages deleted, like users who spam the same message to rile others acting like they are talking to Gabe on a user forum.
It's been a thing that's been discussed multiple times. It isn't some guarded secret.
Well, people being "riled" is the issue. If they cannot control their faculties, action should be taken.
That's ironic you say that.
Sorry if I wasn't being clear in my vagueness. I was trying to say we are all a bunch of opinionated gamers, meaning that you are very much a part of what you divisively call "worst of the lot."
Well, making a harmless post, is not being riled. Taking up near a whole page, of one poster making one comment, is.
Again, i can waste my time, and send that tripe over to customer services, and the most that will likely happen, is they will lock the thread, of another wise innocent person, as the bad actors who have broken every Term in the book, comments are left, and no action against them.
I'm a tough old goat, and i think you know that by now.
But not everyone is, and the younger (and not so young) with all of the barrage, can be problematic for folks, particularly young people, or those not dealing with a full deck.
It's dangerous, it's reckless, and the issue is not being tended too by Mr Newell, or his team.
Isn't that exactly why moderation & game hubs ban disruptive people? This is how all of this started anyway. For most people that complain about moderation lately, a large amount of the time they have received one or more game hub bans.
Not sure why this thread was even made since it was about others posts disappearing because moderation tends to remove arguments before warning or banning people.
The people that originally came up with that conspiracy and began parroting each other, have an immense number of bans to the point it's almost a permanent community ban. If people had friends in moderation, chances are the mods would have a lot more context and would take much harsher most likely permanent action on disruptive individuals.
