Are moderators silently deleting peoples posts...

So, this is something I recently raised to steam support staff.

its been mentioned by a few in posts like this

I find it really interesting that several posts which called the OP's motives for posting this and potential hypocrisy into question were silently removed by the moderators.

I can't even say I'm surprised of course. This is the precedent they have set for the forums. They enable it through incompetence.

Anyways, so, ARE moderators silently deleting peoples posts? not even due to bans, or otherwise. Just, deleting specific posts and nothing else (regardless of the reason, though... its ON TOPIC here to discuss reason because of course it matters WHY they would delete a post. but the main focus of this thread is whether they are deleting posts and taking no other actions because just deleting posts in a situation)

because if we can pin down that moderators are indeed deleting posts, and making NO OTHER ACTION, then this reply from steam support was incorrect and thats something I need myself to see.

it would be great if other people also pursued the same endeavor. the more we bring something to steams attention the more likely we will see something done for it.

people around here dont like when you make complaints, suggestions, ect...

all these steam forums have ever been, is.... specific people going from thread to thread arguing with the OP's, then getting the thread locked and shutdown.... its been like this for as long as i have been on steam.

seriously, go try making suggestions for steam, in beta or the suggestions sub forum, they will show up.

I'm different though in my opinions then some here, i do believe in governnent regulation, and do feel these social media or chats, need to be looked at. Many ills of society, mass violence, suicide, shootings, espionage and more, many transpire on social media, and our governments need and are looking into it.

But I'm used to the purposeful misrepresenting of what I say to push a narrative. It's become expected at this point.

There is a discussion there on who should have messages deleted, like users who spam the same message to rile others acting like they are talking to Gabe on a user forum.

You might notice that I did not include any particular group or position when referring to "regulars" or "other side." There is a reason for that.

Sorry if I wasn't being clear in my vagueness. I was trying to say we are all a bunch of opinionated gamers, meaning that you are very much a part of what you divisively call "worst of the lot."

Well, making a harmless post, is not being riled. Taking up near a whole page, of one poster making one comment, is.

Again, i can waste my time, and send that tripe over to customer services, and the most that will likely happen, is they will lock the thread, of another wise innocent person, as the bad actors who have broken every Term in the book, comments are left, and no action against them.

I'm a tough old goat, and i think you know that by now.

But not everyone is, and the younger (and not so young) with all of the barrage, can be problematic for folks, particularly young people, or those not dealing with a full deck.

It's dangerous, it's reckless, and the issue is not being tended too by Mr Newell, or his team.

Isn't that exactly why moderation & game hubs ban disruptive people? This is how all of this started anyway. For most people that complain about moderation lately, a large amount of the time they have received one or more game hub bans.

Not sure why this thread was even made since it was about others posts disappearing because moderation tends to remove arguments before warning or banning people.

The people that originally came up with that conspiracy and began parroting each other, have an immense number of bans to the point it's almost a permanent community ban. If people had friends in moderation, chances are the mods would have a lot more context and would take much harsher most likely permanent action on disruptive individuals.
