What's up with the new Cities: Skylines sales history tag on the store?

This is the first time I've ever seen a 30-day sales history be used, and the tag-icon is also shown from the wishlist as well. Oddly enough, it outright replaces the percentage shown, which I'm not sure if I actually like, to be honest.
Feels like they removed the most important info off the sale, in favor of posting the same price 3 times over.

V Rising is also on Weekend Sale atm, and there is no 30-day sales history shown next to it, so this must be exclusive to Cities: Skylines for some reason.

That's the result of a browser plugin.

You at least have the SteamDB plugin due to the "Sub 62700" tag under it, so either that or something else is giving you the price history like that.

Turns out that it is due to EU compliance. Interesting...

I'm hoping that they are not actually removing the percentage though.
Because I still want to know *how big* of a sale it actually is.

:rl2shrug: At least the calculation isn’t too onerous.

Makes me wonder which EU countries this affects. Prices don't show up like that for me.

It must be tied to a listing on isthereanydeal but in this case that price is on Epic's store.

The base game is currently 27.99 euros on steam.

What? No! It has nothing to do with any browsers. This was one week ago that Cities Skylines was on sale *on steam* for that amount.

Look, I blame myself for taking a screenshot of the web browser instead of the client and unintentionally bamboozling half of the people here, but here you go:

This is what I see right now. On the client. No caveats.

And this is the one time where a EU directive made to protect me as a consumer somehow ends up making the shopping experience worse.
I'm fretting that these are only isolated tests of this feature.

I would like to add this new and exciting feature, thank you very much. :sadistpolite:
