Steam is not supporting windows 7 anymore form January 2024

Why steam is doing this? Aren't there enough players running on windows 7? I myself have windows 10 but a lot of my friends still use windows 7 and the will be blocked of their games after this update comes.

If they meant natively, they would have said as such. It's not that hard to figure out as this is not the first time this has happened.

Windows 7 users are acting like this is the first time it's happened when it happened to a half a dozen other OS's before this.

They exist because apparently Windows 7 users don't understand what "will no longer work" means.

They also didn't read the SSA when they signed up for Steam or they read it and didn't take it seriously.

Which is immaterial. I have had Windows 7 games not work out of the box on my Windows 7 machine and had to do some finagling to get them to work. It still does not negate the fact that thus far, at least in this little microcosm of Steam there has not been one game specified that will absolutely not work on Windows 10 for any reason whatsoever. So to claim that games do not work on Windows 10 is, quite frankly, complete and utter BS.

Thus far all I have seen in this thread are the same X,Y,Z arguments that have been identical to every other thread on the topic for the last 8 months. Where, X is misinformation, Y is denying the reality of the situation, and Z is stubborn refusal to accept that there are consequences for one's decision to used non supported software.

There is nothing new here at all.

If you don't upgrade your OS, you will lose access to your games. So you're making a conscious choice to choose your OS over your games.

whats you problem with other customers declaring some of they expectations to a service that they paid for? specialy when it has nothing to do with you, so what are you crying about?
